Phak nam is a good location to make half day trip to bamboo and mosquito Islands, the staff is very welcoming and for french people who can t speak English, ask for Nicolas. I don t know what I was expecting being dropped off on a remote beach but we really were bored out of our minds for the 2 full days we stayed here. Would be a good place for finishing a novel. No AC, no power in the day (which means no fan running), cold showers, few activities, somewhat unhelpful staff, horribly night sleep.
